A qualified acupuncturist with over 17 years experience. Her treatments encompass the two founding schools of thought of Chinese medicine – Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Five Elements.
Archna original trained in Western medical sciences but went on to study acupuncture at the internationally acclaimed College of Integrated Chinese Medicine when a member of her family was successfully treated for asthma with acupuncture. Her background has enabled her to bridge the gap between the Western conventional medical practice and the Eastern holistic approach.
Archna has helped patients suffering from headaches/migraines, digestive issues, musculoskeletal pain and many other stress related conditions, but a special interest in women’s health and fertility led her to attend postgraduate training courses in Acupuncture in Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Male and Female Fertility, Acupuncture Support for Natural & Assisted Conception, Paediatric Acupuncture, Chinese ‘Patent herbs and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
Her experience over the years has taught her that one of the most profound causes of illness or ‘dis-ease’ is stress, and helping her patients learn how to manage stress has become a major aspect of her treatments. Archna strongly believes in the mind/body connection where thoughts and emotions have a huge impact on one’s health and because of this Archna also teaches her patients methods and tools to effectively deal with the stresses of modern life.
Archna believes that everyone has the the potential to be great and to do something great and using acupuncture to help her patients reach their full potential is her passion.
